Special Olympics Limerick - Volunteer Recuitment

Excited to announce that information sessions for the 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games in Limerick are starting!! If you are interested in getting involved NOW in the planning for the Games please come along on one of the following dates to find out more:

Saturday 14th Nov- 10.30am
Tuesday 17th Nov- 7pm
Saturday 21st Nov- 10.30am
Monday 23rd Nov- 7pm
Saturday 28th Nov- 10.30am or 1.30pm

All sessions will be held in the Jean Monnet theatre on UL’s campus in the main University building. If you have not already registered as a volunteer with Special Olympics Ireland can you please do so before attending one of the sessions. Information on how to sign up is below.

1,900 Special Olympics athletes from the 4 corners of Ireland will travel to Limerick to participate in the 4-day residential Games, in 13 sports competitions, held in various venues in Limerick.

Volunteer opportunities at the 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games

Special Olympics Ireland is looking for enthusiastic, friendly and flexible people who are willing to give of their time and join our volunteer team for the 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games.

In total, 3,500 volunteers are needed to run the Games. You don’t have to be a sports person to be part of TEAM2010, there are lots of ways you can play your part. TEAM 2010 volunteers will ensure that our 1,900 athletes, 650 coaches and 4,000 family members receive a warm welcome to Limerick. They will also help us to run a professional and enjoyable service across the 13 sports as well as the other programmes and activities offered to Special Olympics athletes at the Games.
