Special Olympics Photo Shoot

posted 11th May

The University of Limerick is proud of its commitment to the organisation and hosting of the 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games which will take place on campus from 10th – 13th June 2010. Seven of the 12 sports will take place on campus with over 1900 athletes as well as their coaches staying in our student villages over the course of the event.

Many members of the UL campus community including students are registered as Special Olympics Volunteers and many more are involved in the facilitation of the Games through the work of their UL departments and/or faculties.

I would like to invite all Special Olympics Volunteers as well as those of you who are working towards any aspect of staging the Games on Campus to join Professor Don Barry for a brief photo shoot to take place this Wednesday 12th May at 11am.

There will be tea and coffee in the Common Room at 11am on Wednesday and then we will stage a photo shoot on the Living Bridge.

This photo will be issued to the local, regional and national, print and online media to highlight the commitment of the UL Campus Community to the Special Olympics Ireland Games.

So come along and be part of history.
