Education Officer elected unopposed
posted 05th MarTHE Students’ Union Education Officer, Aoife Finnerty, will face another term after being unopposed at close of nominations at 6pm on Friday of Week 6.
Five nominations were handed in for President with Louise Clohessy, Nicholas Ryan, Paddy Rockett, Ruán Dillon McLoughlin and Sharon Brosnan all contesting the position. Two forms each were handed in for the positions. This means Daniel Reid and Derek Daly will both vy for the position of Deputy President/Welfare Officer while Lorcan O’Neill and Vivion Grisewood have set their sights on Vice President/Campaigns and Services. Eoghan O’Brien and Finn McDuffie are both hoping to be the new Vice President/Communications Officer.
Campaigning will begin in earnest on Monday morning and the election will take place on Thursday of Week 7 (March 11). Good luck to all candidates!
