R.I.P. Ents?

posted 19th Oct

STUDENTS are being given a chance to have their say on the future of Ents (i.e., gigs and events) at the Union Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday of Week 7 (21 October). The AGM will take place at 3pm in the Jean Monnet (DG016).

All registered students at UL will have a voice and a vote at the meeting and 200 students are required for any motion to be passed. Registered students include part-time and evening students, link in students and ERASMUS/Study Abroad students.

Also up for discussion will be the date of the Sabbatical Elections. At present they must take place by Week 9 of the Spring Semester but a motion is being brought to the AGM which, if passed, will change the date of elections to Week 10. This is so that RAG Week can be held in Week 9. If the motion is not passed RAG Week and Sabbatical Elections will most likely be held in the same week.

Students are encouraged to attend the meeting and have their say on these issues.
