New Non-Sabbatical Officers for 2009/10

The Non-Sabbatical positions of Community Relations Officer and Equality Officer went uncontested for the second year in a row. The nominations for both positions closed on Thursday of Week 2 and as only one form for each position was returned the candiates were deemed elected.


 


Larissa Mirtschink, 2nd year Bachelor of Arts (Joint Honours), was deemed elected as the new Community Relations Officer (CRO). The CRO is responsible for researching and co-ordinating projects which will improve relations between all sectors of the community. The CRO must also liase with the Union and Community Committees.


 


Gina O’Brien, 2nd year New Media and English, was deemed elected as the Equality Officer for 2009/10. The Equality must aid in the development of the Union’s Equality Policy and must also make sure that every member of the Union is being represented on matters of equal rights.


 


The Students’ Union would like to wish Gina and Larissa all the best for the next year.
