Runaway Bride and Groom

posted 12th Apr

Whilst most 4th year Applied Languages undergraduates are planning their teaching jobs or their post-grads, Kerri Mc Guinness is planning something entirely unique. Kerri and her beloved boyfriend Matt Chapman are over the moon in making it through to the Final 50 of ‘The Ultimate Job in Ireland’ competition. The lucky loved-up couple who win this competition will be sent off around the world, reviewing honeymoon destinations and sharing their adventures with the rest of the world via articles, twitter, blogs and interviews.  The company organizing this competition is called ‘Runaway Bride and Groom’ http://www.runawaybrideandgroom.com/.  The prize up for grabs seems too good to be true, however, there are no catches, it is what it is; Full board accommodation and travel costs covered from May to November, whilst the winning couple jet everywhere from Argentina to Zanzibar in search of the Ultimate Honeymoon Destination, there is also €20,000 pocket money in the pot, which will also keep things ticking over smoothly…After receiving more than 100,000 applicants for this dream adventure it was no easy task shaving it down to the Top 50.  However, Top 50 were announced yesterday, and to their delight kerri and Matt were among the finalists.  The next phase in the competition is an opportunity for the finalists to demonstrate their PR skills and spread the word of Runaway Bride and Groom far and wide.  All 50 application videos have been uploaded onto the competition’s site, and the public is encouraged to vote for their favourite applicant. Kerri and Matt’s video can be accessed here http://www.runawaybrideandgroom.com/ultimatejob/user/profile/173 they would really appreciate your votes.  Public voting is only open until April 19th, so they need all the help they can get with spreading the word, and love.  The finalist with the MOST votes will go through to the Top 10.  The remaining 9 will be selected from the Judging Panel.  All 10 Finalists will then be interviewed and the lucky, deserving winner will be announced on April 22nd – the eve of Kerri’s birthday. So make it a good one for Kerri and vote for Kerri and Matt in the job of a life-time.
