Hustings Tonight

THE Students’ Union Sabbatical Election hustings will take place tonight at 6pm in the Jonathon Swift Lecture Hall (B1023). The husting are a public debate between candidates and all students are welcome to attend.


The hustings will take on a different form this year in comparison with other years. This year the hustings will be begin with each candidate allowed two minutes to introduce themselves. The candidates will then be split in position for the debate portion. 10 minutes has been allowed to Welfare, Campaigns and Services and Communications and 20 minutes has been allowed for President as there are five candidates. The remaining time will then be allowed for summation speeches by the candidates.
