Charity Week draws to a close

AFTER a hectic week of fundraising, games and gigs, Charity Week 2010 has drawn to a close. A figure for the amount raised over the four days should be available over the next week.

The week long event came to a close on Thursday night with a stellar performance from Sharon Shannon & her Big Band and Shane MacGowan. Despite the rain student took to the SU Courtyard with force to show off their best irish dancing skills in front of the big stage.

The week also saw performances from The Coronas & The Chapters, Rubberbandits and Ray Foley and Mauro Picotto. Daytime events included The Great Race, Tag Rugby and 5-a-side Soccer Tournaments and the Raft Race down the River Shannon.
