Walter Mitty & The Realists are a Limerick based foursome with the musical goods to go all the way. Winners of Indie Week Canada 2008, The Mitty’s have just released their debut record, Green Lights Go, produced by The Cranberries Fergal Lawlor, who also sang and played drums on plenty of the tracks ( he just couldn’t resist getting in on the Mitty musical action ) expect big things from this great rock / new wave / punk collective. Walter Mitty & The Realists live are in a word, awesome. They make me wish I’d learnt to play the guitar or could fit into jeans as skinny. Holding nothing back, I have in other times and places described their energy on stage as “semi-psychotic’ and I meant it in the best possible way!
